By Train (Major Stations)
By train, Varanasi is one of the most
well-connected cities in northern India, making rail travel a
convenient and popular option for pilgrims and tourists.
Varanasi Junction (BSB) is the primary railway station,
connecting the city with major destinations such as
Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Prayagraj,
Chennai, and Bengaluru.
Banaras Railway Station (BSBS), formerly known as Manduadih,
handles several long-distance and express trains and
helps reduce congestion at Varanasi Junction.
Manduadih Railway Station and
Kashi Railway Station also serve the city,
catering mainly to passenger and short-distance trains
connecting nearby towns and cities.
Regular express, superfast, and premium trains provide
comfortable rail connectivity throughout the year.
Travelers are advised to book tickets in advance,
especially during festivals and peak travel seasons.
