Varanasi is surrounded by several historically, culturally, and spiritually significant destinations that make for perfect short trips. These nearby places offer a blend of ancient heritage, religious importance, and natural beauty, enhancing the overall travel experience.

Sarnath, located just 10 km from Varanasi, is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the world. It is the place where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Major attractions include the Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, and the Sarnath Museum.
